Changes upcoming!
Ok, so I realize that I haven't been very good about updating this site. I've been busy and
sick a lot lately, so I haven't had much chance, plus ASP is a pain to program. But I've now
been upgraded to ASP.NET (for free!), so I'm going to work on redesigning a few things. Most
of these changes will be "behind the scenes," but they may cause some temporary outages. So
please "pardon our progess" and hopefully things will be back to normal in a couple of weeks!

Blog Is Up!
Yes, the moment that you have all been waiting for has now arrived--my blog is operational.
Now I have a new blog that I can ignore just as much as my old one. I'm going to work
in the next week or two to pull over the posts from the old blog to a read-only section
for this website, and close down my Blogger blog. But for now I need folks to give
my new blog a look, and let me know if you have any problems. Just follow the link
on the left to access it!
My Eyes! The Goggles Do Nothing!
If you haven't
been to UAHEngineer.com in a while, you're probably asking yourself, "where did
that nice looking but poorly updated blog go and why is this montrosity of a
webpage here in it's place?" Well, much to your dismay, this is the new
UAHEngineer.com. You see, back in the day, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth
and we all surfed the web using Netscape Navigator 3.0, I actually had my own
webpage, and ironically enough it looked better than this. Back in those
days, we wrote our webpages by hand, often with little more than a basic text
editor and a candle to light our way. But times have changed, and now they
have these new technologies called "XML," "XHTML," "CSS," "ASP," and many other
technologies that became popular because they had similarly cool acronyms.
Thus, I am now required to at least learn those technologies a little bit in
order to have a webpage that is respectable in this scary new world in which we
live. So the pages you see here are a first attempt at a webpage that
utilizes CSS and ASP. I'm still learning this,
so if this site layout is hurting your eyes don't worry; I'm
going to change it once I learn how to go about doing that. I'm very
slowly going to be bringing a few features online
in the next few days/weeks/months/years, so feel free to experiment with them
as you see fit. And of course, if you want to read the old blog, you can find it
here for now. Happy surfing, and
enjoy your stay at UAHEngineer.com!
Oh yeah, incidentally, this site is best viewed in Mozilla
Firefox. Internet Explorer has a couple of well known issues that prevent it
from properly displaying PNG images, which are ironically enough the default file
format for it's image editor, so some of the colors may be a little off.
